Historical records can include rich details of our ancestors that can include a list of their family members, where they lived, how much income they made, personal traits, where they were born, where they were living and much, much, more.

We needed to not just show these record images but needed to allow the user to fully interact with them so they could easily get to the details by panning around the image and zooming in and out. Some records; like yearbooks, probate records, and census records, also spanned multiple images in a collection, so we also needed to allow the user to navigate from page to page easily.
